The project is designed as an integrated technology platform combining Megawatt Charging Systems (MCS) for heavy-duty electric vehicles, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), on-site renewable energy generation, intelligent energy management, industrial robotics, automated vehicle-service technologies, LiDAR sensing, edge computing and real-time digital twins.

At the core of the platform is an advanced cyber-physical architecture intended to connect physical assets, machines, vehicles, energy infrastructure and digital systems through interoperable middleware and real-time machine-to-machine communication. The R&D programme focuses on the development and validation of this orchestration layer, enabling coordinated industrial operations, intelligent energy optimisation, predictive processes and data-driven fleet services.

MONACO 63 HUB is being developed through a structured 36-month Experimental Development R&D programme submitted under the Walloon Region's SPW Win4Company framework (Reference: SPW DI 26/083). The programme represents €2.355 million in planned R&D expenditure and is designed to advance the integration of robotics, sensing technologies, AI-enabled systems, digital twins and next-generation energy infrastructure within a real operational environment.

Beyond technology development, the project is conceived as a scalable commercial infrastructure model for major European mobility and logistics corridors. Its first implementation in Wallonia is intended to serve as a real-world validation environment for integrated heavy-duty electrification, intelligent energy management and automated industrial services.

The platform's modular architecture is designed to support future replication across strategic European transport corridors, creating a network of intelligent and sustainable mobility nodes capable of serving the evolving needs of electric freight transport, logistics operators, industrial fleets and energy partners.

MONACO 63 HUB represents a new approach to infrastructure development: combining DeepTech innovation with physical deployment, where energy systems, industrial automation, digital intelligence and heavy-duty mobility converge within a single interoperable ecosystem.

MONACO 63 GROUP | Cyber-Physical Infrastructure Platform
